These video forecasts would be tailored to the weather in a a particular area, and would be sent to subscribers based on their phone's current location feature. He wants to find a way to send video forecasts directly to people's smart phones and iPads. But Nicholas has a plan to stay with the times. He understands that the ways in which people consume media are changing, and that the job of local weatherman might look a lot different in ten years than it does today. He really wants to touch the daily lives of those in his community. Nicholas said that when he graduates he would love to be a local meteorologist.
I thought it was coming towards us and was thinking that I might have to drive into the ditch on the side of the highway if it started getting worse, but luckily that didn't happen," said Nicholas.

"I was nervous because it was rush hour and we were stuck in traffic on the highway. Last year Nicholas attempted to witness the tornadoes in Springfield with his sister and a friend, but he was unable to get there in time.
